This gives a new meaning to the phrase “Put the gloves on and come out fighting!” This beautifully colorful weapon was part of a 4th of July demonstration at the Tryon Palace in New Bern North Carolina.
While enjoying the festivities, I got up close with my Nikon D700 with 28-70mm f/2.8 lens and exposed nine “Shots” of this cannon.

Nice image Mark. It’s hard to believe that this was the color of the cannon as it sticks out. Hard to miss on the battlefield!
