While visiting Brookside Gardens in Silver Spring, Maryland, I found this small wedding gazebo nestled in the trees at the end of a long stone tile path flanked with high, majestic evergreens. . .a very picturesque setting. And perfect for this HDR image.
Since the sun was extremely bright, the shadows were deep. So I used seven shots from -3 to +3 ev to balance the image. This is one of those scenes that makes me want to add lots of effects for effect, if ya know what I mean. But, I decided to let it stand on it’s own. Maybe I’ll play with it in the future.
Equipment used: Nikon D700 with 20-35mm f/3.5-4.5 set at 20mm, f/22, ISO 400. Manfrotto 190XPROB with 486RC2 ball head.

Looks like a great spot. Nice shot.
Thanks, mark.
Nice Mark! I’ve only ever been to Brookside Gardens around Christmas when they do their light festival. Need to go see it during the daytime at some point! Have you been to the National Arboretum in DC?
Thanks, kevin. Have not been to the National Arboretum. I will try to get there on one of my many trips to MD.
