HDR – A Day at Brookside Gardens

Whenever I travel, I try to find places to do HDR photography. My last trip to Maryland was pretty fruitful and this is one of a few images that I’ll be posting from my visit to Wheaton Regional Park in Silver Spring Maryland. This image was taken inside of the conservatory at Brookside Gardens which is at the north end of the park.

Processing: I shot five images but ended up using only three spaced from -1 to +1 ev. Nik HDR Efex Pro was used for a very small amount of Tone Mapping and Structure. Adobe Photoshop handled the finishing touches with Exposure, Hue/Saturation, Curves and sharpening.

Equipment used: Nikon D700 with 28-70mm f/2.8 lens set to f/16, ISO 400. Shots were handheld. . .no tripods allowed in the conservatory.
